On October 15th, two dedicated fifth-grade teachers, Ms. Middleton and Ms. Sheppard, took their students on an adventure! A memorable field trip to Black Hill Regional Park, celebrating the hard work and diligence the class demonstrated in achieving their goals. Students practiced defining their goals, creating action plans and deadlines, and monitoring their progress. This commitment to fulfilling their goals builds resilience and confidence. As they persevere through challenges and celebrate their successes, students cultivate a growth mindset that encourages lifelong learning and personal development.
Exploring Little Seneca Lake
The trip aimed to honor the student's commitment to goal setting determination, providing a fun yet educational experience. Students explored the beautiful Little Seneca Lake, learning about the emergency drinking water reservoir and local wildlife.
Learning Through Adventure
Students were able to take a scenic ride on a pontoon boat. They engaged with their surroundings, observing the diverse wildlife that thrives in the area. Through interactive discussions, students gained insights into the importance of environmental factors that influence habitats and fun facts.
Appreciation and Inspiration
The field trip was not only a reward but also reinforced the lessons learned in the classroom, blending education with appreciation.
