Today I’m going to talk about Kindness. When I think of Kindness, I think of helping other people. Like when you help a friend with a project, that is an act of Kindness. Or when you invite someone to your Birthday Party, that’s another act of kindness. But the key to kindness is not making it all about yourself. You are probably able to tell when someone is doing an act of Kindness or an act of sadness. Another example of kindness is helping someone up when they're feeling down. Like giving them words of encouragement and telling them that they belong.
But then again, everyone has a place that they belong in; for me it’s in theater. A few words that come to my mind when someone says “think of kind words;” I think of Joy, Hope, Community, Love, Peace, Generosity and Prosperity. What do you think of when I say Kindness? I hope everybody knows that being kind is not only smart, but is also key to making new friends in your community.
Some examples of kindness are, helping someone up if they fall, or calming someone down if they are in a fight. Another example would be stepping in a Basketball or Soccer or Volleyball game if they need an extra player. To show kindness you could support your community by going to a Sporting Event for your school. I hope everyone who hears this today does something positive and kind to help make our community a better place and brighten someone's day. And to wrap it up a little kindness quote I wrote for this. “If you let despair and misery darken your day, you won’t get very far in life. So live, love, laugh and be kind and inclusive to everyone around even the people you don’t know.”
