Earlier in the fall, Ms. Slack, the Language Arts teacher, encouraged 6th graders to enter a Young Writers' competition with the prompt title SOS Sagas: Hunted. Four submissions from Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences were chosen for publication in Hunted - Fates Entwined set for publication in March. Carina Araujo, Tesora Carson, Ellsie Kolb, and Makenna Luther were selected! Each student received a lovely bookmark and certificate to mark their achievement from Young Writers.
Our teaching encourages students to explore how subjects relate to one another, helping them to make connections that spark inquiry and deepen understanding.
