Barnesville Student Carina Araujo Wins DC Bookmark Design Contest
We are thrilled to celebrate another incredible achievement by Barnesville student Carina Araujo! Carina recently won the grades 6–8 category of the Southwest Library 2025 Bookmark Design Contest in Washington, DC. Her creative design, which incorporates a Haiku she previously wrote for another award-winning piece, beautifully captures the world of fantasy inspired by books.
As part of her prize, Carina received a $25 gift card to Politics & Prose, a DC Public Library swag pack, and a certificate. The winning bookmark will be printed and distributed at the Southwest Library, making her artwork accessible to readers throughout the community.
This accomplishment adds to Carina’s growing list of artistic accolades. Her innovative and artistic talents are a shining example of the creativity nurtured at Barnesville School of Arts & Sciences. We are incredibly proud of her dedication and skill!
Congratulations, Carina, on this well-deserved recognition! We look forward to seeing how your creativity continues to inspire others.
